. . . there once was this totally awesome, decidedly decadent, pastry with caramelized condensed milk, wipped to a nearly chewable thickness together with finely crushed pine kernels and hazel nuts lining the pastry cup filled with a mix of wild berries gently poach to just a touch before pulpiness - still crisp and fresh tasting - simply swimming in a divine cointreau souce, thickened with wild honey; and topped with the richest cream I've ever encountered, and chocolate drippings melted over it all, sinking down into the cream topping, which I ate at a small, obscure, seaside cafê overlooking the Atlantic ocean on a windswept day, with temperatures dropping below 30 F; accompanied by soft guitar music, the sound of raucous seagulls fighting over fish scraps along the small jetty; and the soft laugther of the most beautiful young women whom I had ever had the pleasure of sharing a meal of crayfish, mussels and abalone on a bed of rice - in itself as tasty a dish as one could wish for! But, alas, that was 33 years ago . . . and as I tell you about it, I can again hear the soft laughter; the seagulls and the surf pounding along the coastline; smell the sea on the wind, and the cooking from the small kitchen; and taste the tartness of the berries mixed with the sweetness of the caramel and chocolate, softened by the cream, yet again enhanced by the cointreau . . . idyllic!
Thanx for taking me down THAT memory lane again!!! *Sigh* Those WERE good days!!!!
Ciao . . .

There is a certain type of pie I like the most. I can't say exactly what it is made of, but it tastes sort of like very tender, moist and juicy chicken.
