Emmm yes
The streets in China are safe like in no other country !
The Communist government (with a semi-capitalist system) achieves growth rates like nowhere else.
IN FACT COMMUNISM DOES NOT REALLY EXIST
Except in small communities sharing the same goals like Amish people

For a country, Communism doesn't work. The leader has to spend too much time and effort saving his own bacon.
Ironically, for families and sports teams, it often times works great.
I heard a story from an old man recently about a local family and how they farmed 70 years ago. The father was the czar. The eight children did their job in the fields and barns exactly they way they were told to. There was no choosing of chores. There was no television. The father was the boss, period. He said they were very efficient and they were very happy.
The National Football League is considered a Communist system. The best team right now is the New England Patriots. Bill Belichick is the czar and all the players are interchangeable comrades. The stars take lower salaries in order to get better players at all positions and in the second string.
The teams that win are made up of non-selfish players. They are made up of players who will sacrifice their salary and their statistics in order for the team to win.
I think it's a matter of scale. In a large country Communism gets corrupt and many people go without.
In a small system like a family or a team, everybody can still win provided the parent or the coach is being fair.
So that's my answer. It depends on the benevolence of the czar and it depends on how large the group is.
It also depends on a focus. A family can have a strong focus: Being housed, clothed, fed. A team can have a strong focus: Winning games. A country: The focus is for the leader to retain his power. That's not a good focus.

No,I can't think of a thing. Sounds horrible. These protest groups should take a trip over there and stay. Completely deranged.
"Both groups' leaders were associated with the Workers World Party, which advocates a shift toward a Soviet-style planned economy. But a 2004 dispute prompted some members to form the splinter Party for Socialism and Liberation.
Members of the splinter group stayed active in the ANSWER Coalition, and the remaining members of the Workers World Party formed the Troops Out Now Coalition, Troops Out Now spokesman Dustin Langley said."

Clearly, on a national scale communism hasn't ever worked, and has even been catastrophic in many cases.
That being said, it works all the time on a very tiny scale. In fact, virtually all of us live in communist groups where people share equally, dividing the wealth of the wage-earners among all members of the group. We call those groups families.
I think that's pretty close to the largest scale on which it may work.

You are missing something. Communism as outlined by Marx has never actually been tried but there is a coherent argument in favor of it in the early writings of Marx and Engel. I do not agree with their statements but it is a coherent argument
What was in Romania and other communist countries was a military dictatorship that called itself communism. That system makes no sense and never will

i've got been to a pair of communist international locations. The homes have been undeniable, streets undeniable, properties undeniable. in comparison to united statesa. with department stores that look advantageous and eye-catching or properties look advantageous. in case you like undeniable then i think communism does not trouble you. i found those towns to be dreary and boring. The inhabitants as an entire had much less funds of their wallet than we do. That grew to become into glaring. different than for that nonetheless, i actually enjoyed assembly the folk that lived their.

There have always been and always will be the poor and working classes. And, the working class have most always been poor. But there have not always been workers and poor people living under conditions as they are today; in other words, there have not always been proletarians, any more than there has always been free unbridled competitions.
