One might argue that now they have something to prove. Before we all thought they were good...then came video-gate. Now, they have to re-prove that they were as good as we thought they were before.
One other thing that people seem to have missed is that this video incident is something every team does...the Pats were the first to get publicly caught doing it...like speeding on the highway, we all do it, and once in awhile we get a ticket.

The coach was videotaping the hand signals of the opposing coach so that he could better predict the plays ahead of time. This is cheating and I know he shouldn't even be allowed to play the game anymore, but just calling the plays wouldn't be enough to make them an awesome team, which they were. Fact is, their success wasn't just a result of good play calling, it was fantastic execution on field. Even without the video-taping, the team still has great defense, pass, rush, etc.. Besides, they weren't exactly bad at play-calling in the first place; they just wanted a little edge.
The video-taping wasn't prove that the team sucked. It was just prove that they were cheats. They were always a fantastic team, and that isn't going to change just because they don't have the extra help they didn't even need.

Well, "Little" Bill Belicheat still has tapes going back several years. Just because they aren't taping NOW doesn't mean that they don't have tapes from THEN, does it genius?
Plus it always helps when you get a wide reciever like Randy Moss for a Fourth round draft pick, a lower draft pick than other clubs were offering the Raiders. I guess there was no TAMPERING going on there either, eh?
When the Patdowns know that they can get away with anything with a weak comissioner that bends over for them, they really don't have to worry too much do they?
Btw, has anyone noticed that no team in the NFL is allowed to spike the ball outside the endzone except the Patdowns and Wes Welker? I wonder why the Refs don't penalize them? Maybe they take their cue from the Commissioner and just bend over for them.

I am not a Patriots fan, but all I have to say on the subject is this:
It wouldn't have been a big deal at all if the QBs still called their own plays. Every one of them has a microphone in their helmet and their coach or offensive coordinator tells them what to do. The reason for this is that pro sports teams don't draft smart people anymore, only the biggest, buffest guys with an arm or running legs. Since the QBs are idiots the coaches have to tell them exactly what to do.

Simple, the Pats are a SUPERIOR team compared to most, and i cannot wait for them to play Indy, Dallas, and any other team that THINKS they will destroy New England. Beat them? maybe, whoop them? Not!!!!!!! Lets see where all the loudmouth anti-Patriot fans are in January!!!

for sure a woman may be intimidated with the help of an extremely desirable guy. the two genders see those that are "out of their league." seems are very intimidating because of the fact the media has positioned plenty emphasis on attractiveness and good seems.

its very easy to back up tapes, and just because they havent gotten caught since the first game doesnt mean they arent doing it.
i predict that the cleveland browns beat the new england patriots this weekend.

Yes, they sure are looking good. I think maybe the videotaping was not the reason they were winning before.

it's their weak schedule. the Bolts aren't the same team as last year and the Cleveland Clowns scored 50 on the Bengals. All their opponents are below .500
