Selectors were not open minded and not having ability to find the power of truth and non violence of Gandhi ji.

Believe it or not, it is just because he did not fall into any of the categories prepared by the Nobel Committee. The Executive Director of the Nobel Foundation said that he could not be given the honour in spite of being nominated five times "because he was neither a real politician nor a humanitarian relief worker." He further said, "we missed a great laureate and that is Gandhi. It is a big regret." to CNN-IBN.

Nobel prize is given for producers of marketable goods or ideas...Mahathma Ghandhi was a man with no commercial product or idea. His tendency to correct himself from mistakes committed and following of non-violence are unacceptable to our present day world. Hence, he cannot be given.

I think there are no deserving candidates in this earth to offer him Nobel prize .He is father of our Indian Nation we never forget. God only knows about his services to the humanity.

i'm not sure,but it may be because of he took decision to donate 56 crore Rupees to Pakistan at that time when India was very poor & worried by Pakistan.
