Are there any good FREE websites that have auditions in Los Angeles?

I always recommend backstage.com and actorsaccess.com. Neither of which are completely free, but they start out that way and are completely legitimate.

With backstage you can get some of the info for free. If it's theatre auditions you want you can do the search and if you can see the name of the theatre then just look up the theatre's site on your own. They generally have their audition info on their own site.

For actorsaccess, you can see all the info for free, it's submitting for auditions electronically that will cost you money. If the production prefers hardcopy submissions then you're in luck. Or if you subscribe to showfax then you're also in luck because you can submit electronically all you like for free as long as you subscribe ($68 per year) which may beworth it in LA if you go on a lot of auditions that put their sides on the service.

good luck!

Hahaha. Good luck buddy. Do you have any idea how many people in LA think they're going to be "the next big thing"?

If you are not an experienced actor already (and elementary school plays don't count), I would suggest getting involved in the theatre first. You probably won't get the big parts at first, but you will learn valuable skills.

There are a few really good legit sites like NowCasting, LACasting, and ActorsAccess, but they are not free.

Here are a few free sites that have legit Casting and Audition information:

I've been using actorsaccess now for a few years. I find it to be one of, if not the most reputable site there is for finding auditions.
