freezing it for 3 days prevents your flour from getting weevils.

i have been doing this for several years and i have not had weevils since i started. less than 3 days i'm not sure if that works, so 3 days or longer and you're set (or you can just keep it in the freezer if you have room in there, i always have a bag in there)

Nuking the bag wouldn't work because you need moisture to cook it. Those bugs tend to not have moisture in them so they don't die!

Flour bugs are, well, bugs that live in flour. Bug eggs make it through all the sifting, sorting, and filtering because they are about the same size as the flour particles. In coarsely ground flour, they have an easier time of it. After a while, they hatch and then bugs go through a life cycle in your cupboards. The only thing you can do about them is 1, keep your flour in a sealed container and 2, use it faster than the bugs cycle.

These critters are from the flour itself. You may want to keep it in the freezer or better yet, buy a box of Bay Leaves from the grocery. They will be with spices. Place about half a leaf in all the dried things such as pasta and corn meal. Works great.

Transfer it to a container, make sure it's covered up! Refrigeration is a good idea, too!
