there was a story on the news last night about a girl named Amber, and they basically said that she was with a registered sex offender, and i want to know who she was, how old she was, where she was found, if sh is dead or alive, because i have a friend named Amber who has been missing for 3 weeks now, and am wondering if it is her, thank you for your help. She is a 15 year old from Florida. She was dropped off by the offender in a Wal-mart. She is safe. Her name is Alyssa Frank. They are no longer using her name in news stories because they believe she is the victim of sexual abuse. An Amber Alert was issued for her. This is the generic name for missing/abducted children alerts.
