I currently sponsor a girl in Thailand. She is 14 and I have sponsored her for the last 5 years.
It's been a really awesome experience for me! I found her when I was 14, and decided to use my babysitting money towards World Vision. It seemed 'meant to be'... we share the same birthday!
Also, I get to see her next summer :) Words can't express how excited I am!

Yes, he was 6 and I sponsored him until I think he was 8. He was either from Honduras or Guatemala (this was years ago). Now I contribute to Kids for the Kingdom, they have a lot less overhead than WV.
Lalena: Wow how nice you get to meet her! Thais are wonderfully friendly people but they are a little complicated too. Please buy and read culture shock thailand before you go, it will help you with the do's and don'ts (i.e. don't touch anyone's head, don't point with your foot, don't step on the doorway....)
