Whether it be on the grounds of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability etc . . . .

My apologies for suggesting that religious discrimination is the same as racism, this is because currently the legislation applied to religious discrimination is the RRA (Race Relations Act) or the HRA (Human Rights Act)

I am sure discrimination is against the community guidelines, what do you think?

I havn,t been on here long because iv only just started with computors. What i can see is there seems to be several groups that band together on certain issues and this is bound to happen as when we were at school there where always groups. What some people see as antaganistic, well thats what it is,the desired effect is in the posts, its easy to stir up Maybe there is a time to stand back and look otherwise the report button is going to be red hot,and possably through anger Take stock ,we don,t know each other but we can respect others views, even when sometimes they realise the mistake to late

Any form of discrimination against others, over anything should not be allowed. I am aware of the member that has been targeted and the member that has made these comments, and the thing that struck me was that the person discriminating a whole religion clearly does not have the capability to talk to people properly, and does not have much self respect. I think anyone that resorts to the abuse of others on here in any form, should be removed, as whilst comments made over the internet may not bother some people, it can be very upsetting to others, I have had nasty things said to me in the past and I am unfortunately a very sensitive person so I tend to dwell on these comments, long after they have been said.
Anyone small minded enough to think their opinions are the only ones that count have serious delusions.

There is no room for discrimination anywhere in life. But it seems even more pathetic when someone hides behind their computer screen and an avatar.

No one should ever have any sort of abuse or threats made against them, their culture, religion, sexual orientation or whether they are from mars

Cara - we britons have been ruining countries for generations. Look at any Costa in Spain for a start - did we respect Spanish culture when we were demanding egg and chips everywhere.

My great grandfather was awarded a knighthood for recruiting Indians into the British army......in INDIA. My grandfather gave it up because he did not agree with it.

So dont you ever try the 'my father thought for this country'. Your father thought against the nazis who were trying to turn the world into an aryian race. YOUR MENTALITY IS 100% ADOLF HITLER

AND HOW IS COMING ON ANSWERS 'AGAINST SOCIAL WORK'.

You would think that discrimination would be against the community guidelines, but from some of the questions and answers on her I'm beginning to wonder.

There is nothing specific in the guidelines, but I've been reporting the more outragous ones. I've noticed a bunch of antisemitic posts, but not as many as I would have expected. I haven't noticed any anti-black, anti-hispanic posts at all, so I'm guessing that Yahoo does a pretty good job of removing them.

You are right Barbie, it is agains community guidelines.

And at the risk of sounding like a girl scout, I think we should all be hitting the report button when we see this happening. You need a thick skin on here but religious discrimination shouldnt be tolerated. An opinion is one thing, but abusive answers is another.

Oh Jim g well said I posted a similar anwer to another question in the same view as this one as was shot down in flames as being a pro McCann supporter I have never heard anything so trite and ridiculous my life.

People using this site ought to rmember everyone is entitled to their own opinion and all the better if can be heard without a torrant of absude being hurled at them from the self opininated clan of Dave s. He put his guile to good use he loaded the gun and left the rest of his followers to fire the bullets.

I'm all in favour of religious discrimination, as long as it's against all religions equally.

I reckon so Barbie, because some words used to describe people with learning disabilities have been socially outlawed, and as an RMN I obviously cringe at the sound of alot of the old words used to describe them in the past. They still get used by older people or complete ignoramuses.
But a certain persons posts on here tonight, are extremely OTT to say the least.
I can only imagine the probs this person must have.

No offence like, but when did you become uber-Yahoo moderator who can tell other people what to say or do? If people are posting inappropriate messages then there is a system in place for it to be dealt with and I don't think it's down to other posters to start saying what people can and can't post.

Lighten up darling.

BTW I actually agree with you, but the last time I checked we were living in a democracy where freedom of speech is a right. If you don't agree with it, report. Stop preaching!
