What the hell kind of question is that. Well lets break it down:

It can't be A because there is no mention of who he references.

It can't be B because the information says he is "well-known" but it does not mention whether he is "well-known" to be a good writer. Hitler's book, Mein Kampf, is "well-known" but I'm not sure that anyone would consider it to be a good source of information.

It can't be C because the information given makes no mention of other writers or disputes about his books.

It can't be D because there is no mention of that either.

This is a very poor question, with no real answer. I'd say that B is the best answer, but its still technically wrong. "Well-known" doesn't mean "good."

B. Tough one though. There is nothing in the question to give you information about either A, C or D. If he is a "well-known newspaper reporter" and has written several books I assume that they think this is enough to qualify him to be classified as a "good" writer.

A

of course it is A, if he wrote several books, then he has references. why would the fact that he as a reputation of being a good writer mean that he will be a good resource. he is a good writer....because of the resources...otherwise he would be a poor writer.....duh!
