Only been taking the pill for one month. My period was due 3 days ago. I had all the pre menstrual symptoms then 2 days ago I had a brownish discharge. Now today it is heavy enough to wear a liner. Is this my period or is the pill messing me all up?? Any suggestions?

It could be that your body is getting use to the pill. If you take the first inactive pill on Sunday, you should get your period on Tuesday.

I am also on the pill and this happens to me. I have had it happen twice and have been on the pill or about a year now. I read about it online and it says that it mean you are ovulating. I am skeptical about this and do not know if that is really what it means, but I have had the same thing happen and I know that it does start right before the period. I think it also might be dried blood getting out of your system. You should not be worried about it. It should last about 3 days then your period will start. Just wear a small liner or very light tampon, and be aware that is it happening. You can also call a nurse hot line and talk to a registered nurse about it to get further information. A number I have called before is 1-877-281-5106 Its a 24 hour registered nurse hot line and they can help you out with any questions you have. Because i know sometimes it is a pain to make an appointment and go into the doctor when it isn't really anything too serious. Hope this helps.
