I use a rubber band on my penis when I have sex. How bad is that?? Does that cause trouble?? What kind???

I've read that for ED after a handheld vacuum pump has drawn blood into the penis (by enlarging it) a rubber band is often used at the base to trap blood in place (maybe also for inflatable prosthetics??). I don't know about other usage, but there may be some risks due to lack of circulation causing permanent tissue/nerve damage (remember that with Viagra an inflation lasting more than 4 hours is a treated as an emergency for this reason!). Maybe a velcro binding might be easier to manage?

Well, if you're 60 years old, have erectile dysfunction, diabetes, high blood pressure, unattracted to your mate, I can see where this might have begun. If you are not those things and you did it because it is "fun." STOP IT! It tells your lover that you can't keep erect without it. That tells them you are not attracted to them. Bad Signal!
If you have circulation issues you might want to try aerobics and dietting to clear out your arteries and veins of blockages.
Otherwise, live with the God given erectile power I'm sure you have inside of you. It will be ok. Pull out the rubberband when your partner needs it for the 3rd or 4th time that day and you're still feeling a little spoungy. And I don't mean "Square pants." lol.

Just a guess. It has to do with having heard/seen everything. Nothing could surprise me regarding a man and the common male relationship. Ever hear a rubber band concert? Ever see a barn dance? Ever see a house fly? When I do I will have seen everything.

Someone already said it, you need a c0c ring. The rubber band, besides looking goofy, if to much trouble. A ring is neater, easier to put on/take off and keep clean. There is always of chance of going to tight with the rubber band. If's it to tight and you fall asleep, you may be having your willy amputated.

If you need a c**k ring to maintain an erection - go out and buy one - don't use a rubber band! That shows bad taste and poor decisions on your part.

Sincerely you should ask only why you need that!
Whatever will be the motivation (excitement, way to hold erection, etc.) you realize that it isn't a natural and appropriate way to have sex being accustomed to use it!
As usually the problem isn't the action or the tool we often use, but the actual reason that urge us to do that without treating seriously some dysfunction even!

Well, I wouldn't do it every time. And I wouldn't leave it on very long. I'm assuming it kind of functions like a c*** ring and it's on the base? You might want to actually look into getting something specifically for this purpose that is more hygenic.
