The long division symbol really doesn't have a name although the horizontal bar that goes over the dividend can be called a "vinculum". A vinculum is a horizontal line placed over a mathematical expression, used to indicate that it is to be considered a group. Vinculum is Latin for "bond", "fetter", "chain" or "tie", which is roughly suggestive of some of the uses of the symbol.

Other terms for division symbols are:
obelus for the ÷ symbol
solidus for the slant in a fraction ½
virgule for the / symbol for an inline division a / b

Now you can impress your pre-calculus / trigonometry teacher with *your* new knowledge! That should get you extra, extra credit.

And of path don’t count on them to exhibit how a lot they’re in suffering! Sagittarius (Sun/Mars): Their response to a get a divorce is the satisfactory, as they love freedom besides! They hate any sort of stress that would include a courting in order that they’re lovely cool on the subject of a get a divorce! They’re excellent supporters of the opinion that after a door closes, a window opens in order that they’re constantly able to welcome any new reviews! humorous how they contradicts each and every different...
