My parents recently purchased 88 acres of flat, mostly wooded, residential land. It is about an hour away from where I live. It is near a town with about 11,000 people. The land just sits there with nothing on it.

Any suggestions on how I can take advantage or this situation? (Whether it be for fun or business).

Create a beautiful wedding site! I've always wanted to do this...

Make a lattice chapel and use garden benches for pews. Line the paths with nice plants. You can even use real stained glass if you wish or just leave the chapel open. Create some lovely sitting areas too. People would love to get married in a setting such as this.

Good luck!

Being a lover of the wild, I would suggest letting it just sit there for use as a retreat from whatever....Manage the woods, enjoy the wildlife, have a picnic!
