Yes, they can work. I'm gonna go against most of the other answers here. Most people are very negative about long distance relationships and say that they don't work when they can. I have been in a relationship that's long distance with my man for a while. He's stationed in Virginia and I am in South Carolina. He's in the Navy. Now we are engaged. It just takes a lot more effort with long distance relationships (travel, phone calls, email, etc). It can definitely work out. If you two are committed to each other and making the relationship work and if it's meant to be, it'll be fine. Just give it a chance and see what happens.
Remember: Anything worth having is not always easy.

Well I will tell you that it won't work out simply by osmosis. Someone will have to do something. Love is a very powerful thing. It can work out if the both of you want it to. You both will have to make some challenging decisions. I am currently in a long distance relationship. There are 700 miles between us. We love each other and have made sacrifices to see each other 5 times within the last year. It can be done with commitment and loyalty. Good Luck-love is powerful!

Yes, Long Distance Relationship work.. I was in a long distance relationship when my husband was going to school back east getting his MBA. Only certain people can make them work. You have to be mature and have patience. Don't get me wrong. There are sometimes I wanted to leave, but I loved him. Now were married.

I have never known a relationship to work long distance. I mean, the most important part of a relationship for me is that work it takes to mesh together and build a strong bond. I dont know how you can accomplish that long distance, when you don't have to live in each others company.

Absolutely it can work, but you have to be prepared to spend a lot of time traveling to be together & to have silly petty fights. And after some time one of you will have to move to make it work.
My fiance and I met the last month of high school and spent a year a part at college- during that time we became great communicators and it really made our relationship strong. After that year I transferred to his college and now we are getting married in 3 weeks.
If you go into it with the correct mindset it can work.

it really depends on the couple and what they are willing too put in to the relationship.
long distance relationships are hard to make work. everybody has needs when they have them.
i hope it works for you, but most likely it will not.

nah. only if you guys move close to each other. ive been talking to this guy i met online for 8 months. every day. but yeah it didnt work out. we still talk but i havent seen him and he always refuses to come see me and we always argue. and now it gets boring to talk to him on the phone every day and stuff. so now you might have feelings for a guy but after a while it will go away. trust me. find someone around your way.

depends on whether you both want it or not and if your intentions are the same. my guy and I have been separated 6 of the 12 months we dated. he's in the military. So it will work if you both want it to. otherwise not.
