I had one about a year ago and i did not even know that it was an affair until recently. LOL I had no idea until someone told me "sounds like you had an emotional affair" and i was like "what the hell is that?" I thought that it was a joke or something she made up until she explained it to me, I honestly thought we were just close friends but i saw it going in the wrong direction and stopped it because the attachment i was beginning to have to this friend did not feel right and i still am upset that i even became friends with that person and let him manipulate me the way he did.
