Ok, so theres this boy, and he claims to have ADHD or something and he says he takes pills for it. Anyway he keeps getting on my nerves and he slaps my head and it really makes me mad. Im 18 and im a little to old to be getting bullied, but i dont know what to do. If i hit him then ill get thrown out of college and all because of him, id have no education. Or if i report him to my tutor its gonna look kinda whimpy. Now college is hard enough without someone making me even more angry. So what do i do? should i try to talk to him alone? but if i do that he will say im gay or something, and he has a big mouth. If i do that then he knows hes getting on my nerves, what do i do? thanks.

You can do it politely or aggressively. Tell him to stop, to leave you alone. It is not wimpy to avoid fighting, at your age the hitting is called assault and is the responsibility of the authorities to stop. Perhaps he needs treatment.

warn him not to do it again. Make sure that there are other people around. Do this once or twice to be sure others see you're not provoking it and then defend yourself appropriately if it continues. Maybe you could just twist his arm or something, just so long as you don't use more force than he was. Personally I'd just not go near the piece of crap that is using adhd as an excuse to hit people. Think man, is he in a position to say anything? will he actually tell people if you beat the crap out of him? remember hit fleshy areas that clothing usually covers and try not to leave bruises. Or shout charlie horse and hit in the leg as hard as you can..... Point being you shouldn't have to put up with crap like that and he shouldn't think he can do that. So put a stop to it.

Bullies only bully because they get a certain desired reaction for their intended victim. Don't give him the normal reaction. The next time he smacks your head, turn around and in a firm voice announce "If you do that one more time I'm gonna knock you into the middle of next week!" You don't have to actually do it, but if you make your position known in a firm enough manner, it might put a stop to it.

I would report him to your tutor. It won't look wimpy at all, you have the right to an undisturbed education. This boy is clearly getting in the way of that. Otherwise, could you possibly sit somewhere else in class, far away from him?

I had a similar experience, throughout highschool there was this one Black kid who was constantly running his mouth, trying to show me up in front of the whole class. I used to avoid physical confrontation because like you I feared the consequences of my actions. But on one particular occasion in my senior year he crossed the line when he started making racial remarks towards me, so I just got up out of my seat and socked him square in the jaw, and you know what from that day on he couldn't so much as look me in the eye. Just remember you can't reason with stupidy.

First, you need to take 2 classes... one for anger management and one for self-assertion.
Tell the tutor, counselor, Men's Dean... whoever you feel will help. You don't need the stress on top of going to college.

Report his behavior IMMEDIATELY to your supervisor or tutor. It is against the law to physically "HIT" someone . Tell him if he continues harrassing you that you WILL report him. Then firmly tell him to leave you alone and to NEVER touch you again.
Be calm but very firm. If he doesnt listen....REPORT HIM> NO one has to accept his kind of behavior as "OK"...its simply NOT>

Meh, ignore it. I know people like that and they are just trying to be affectionate and matey, but don't really know how. Take it as a compliment.
