With bilingual abilities, I would direct you to a larger property management comapny. You may the learn the $ and repair side with the right place.

Loan officer companies really do not have anything to do with fixing up homes. They're paper pushers for the most part...and marketers the rest of the time.

That's a private investor or rehabilitation contractor. Same with real estate companies. You might meet a few realtors that could use your services for sellers needing repairs. Attend the local realtor broker tours or offices offering repair services for their sellers. They always have people who need repairs done to sell.

If you think about it...........you might be able to team up with a local realtor as an assitant so he/she can serve the underserved community of 'other language' speakers. They would be teaching you while you are helping them market to an undertapped market.

For what you want to do, I would also try and find an investor who has the $ to do projects, but not the skill and team up. Go to investor group meetings or check out websites like creativeinvestor.com to learn from others.

Learn what a birddog is .......if you have the skill offer your services to the guy with the $$.

The biggest trick is to have access to cheap money in the long run.
Accomplished by keeping your debts low and your credit rating high. It sounds so 1950's but save some $$ in the bank. Be able to show reserves.

So counter culture to today's microwave fun society but so beneficial to those who do it.

Good Luck

Real estate is a field where you work based upon commission. So brokers are very willing to hire newbies, although 98% of them do not last.

You speak several languages. This is a marketing opportunity. If you also have a broad circle of influence, you're likely to be very successful in the career.

You'll find success in real estate is a lot more about who you know than it is what you know. Most folks don't care how good you are - oh, they'll say they care, but they don't. What they really want is someone who makes them comfortable. Speaking their language is a very good way to get that comfort, particularly when others don't.

Look at you-the smartest question today! You need to interview them not the other way around! Then you will know who will train you to the level that you need. Plan to take the GRI classes the first year and that will give you some great help too. The next class or simultaneous if you can is the e-PRO it will give you the technology that you need besides the MLS classes that the association will probably require-take all of the ones that are offered! This is the strongest tool that you have so learn it extra well. Good Luck!

Build a database of contacts from the start! don't drop one person until they prove they aren't worthwhile!

Go find a relator or a mortgage company in town and volunteer. Consider it an internship. Keep another job but work around it.
