--Spray it with the Windex/window cleaner, as suggested. The ammonia will stun it longer than hair spray does, and it's lower-risk for you. Make sure the thing is *soaked*.

--Get a thick paper towel, throw it *over* the bug. It's wet. The paper towel will soak up the wetness and further immobilize the pest. Bonus: It will also make the mess that much easier to clean up.

--Get a big, heavy, thick soled shoe, and *smack the third dimension* out of it, repeatedly. Hold the shoe by its toe box, hitting the bug with the heel part of the sole (bottom of the shoe).

--Once you see the remains of the bug penetrate the paper towel.....stop smacking it, get a dry paper towel and clean up the mess. Wash your hands afterward if you need to.

And yeah, I hear you on this one. Millipedes may be harmless, but you can't tell the difference between the species at arm's length, in a panic. And centipedes *are* mildly poisonous, and able to break the skin with their bites.

Still, they move fairly slowly. This shouldn't be too difficult to deal with.

Hope this helps. Breathe. Calm down. You're the size of a *mountain* to the bug. ^_^ It's ok.

Why did not u throw it away or flush it down the rest room? in any case domicile centipedes are not risky, they have a soft sting, yet not something to rigidity approximately. If u have a cat your cat or canines could have have been given it out from decrease than the shoe, and if I wasn't truly lifeless and have been given out do not difficulty approximately it, you injured it and if u see it back purely kill it and throw it away. they are not very aggressive the two. they like dark places on your place.....yet while your truly worried purely call an exterminator to return and spray computer virus poison around the domicile.

Are you sure it's a centipede? If it's a millipede, they are harmless little fellows.

Just spray it with some bug spray- hair spray will work if you don't have any bug spray.
