Of course. Last year the Cardinals won it all and had the worst won/lost record of any World Series winner. The Cubs and everyone else has a shot in all of the short series of the post season. But, look, if they win they become just another team. Are you sure you want that?

I believe most non Cubs fans would rank the Cubs and Rockies 7 and 8 out of the eight playoff teams. With that being said the championship will go to the team that can get hot in the playoffs and I would rule out the Cubs although it will be a difficult uphill battle for them.

I think any of the eight teams in the playoffs can win the World Series...that being said, I like the Cubs odds...I think they are a good team who I would not be surprised to see in the Series...I will be rooting for the Red Sox but if they get knocked out I will be rooting Cubs.

The pitching's been good down the stretch, starters and bullpen, and I can't see Zambrano going back into a rut after his return to dominance over the past three weeks. If Theriot can get hot and Lou pairs him with Soriano at the top of the order, that could lead to some big innings for them. The Cubs aren't the best team in the postseason, but yes, they've got a chance to win it.

they have a tough road. If it all had to come through Wrigley, i'd say yes, but they have to go through Arizona. I think they can win this series. The next one will be the tough one, but, the Red Sox broke their curse. The White Sox won. I think the monkey is going to get off their back.
MY HEART wants a CUBS-INDIANS series. My brain says more like Philly-Yankees/Red Sox

No, because they will lose to the Diamondbacks in 5 games.
Reason: Ryan Dempster, horrible down the stretch.
Jose Valverde, best closer in the league this year. (47 saves)

Only if they let the goat in.
If the Yankees get even average pitching, they will win it all since their offense is so superior to any other team.
