Yes, of course you can. You can wear any color you want to wear to a wedding. Black is actually a very classy and elegant color.

The "proper" etiquette says no, but current social norm says it's OK. Try to break up the black if it isn't a print dress. If this is an evening wedding and is formal, black will be fine. But, again, try to make it not "funeral" black.
Most people will not care, as they will be focused on the bride. The only real NO-NO for most people is not to dress like the bride. White is OK as long as it has a pattern and doesn't resemble a gown. (My cousin married a gal whose mom wore white to the wedding. She was an attention-seeker. We all just laughed it off since we knew she'd pull something like that. The bride still got more attention. Probably more than she would have if her mom hadn't worn white!)

Generally speaking no, black dresses are traditionally associated with funerals, death, doom etc. not what you'd want to wear to a wedding. Just about every other color is acceptable. I believe soft colors, pastels and such are a good way to go. Avoid white, that should be reserved for the bride.

I dont see nothing wrong with wearing black to a wedding as long as its not all black. I would suggest maybe a black and white outfit/dress or something besides all black. With some cute heels you should be fine.

sure you can. it's a very elegant look, plus, you can take a basic black dress it up for a wedding or simple accessories just to go out to dinner. I worked at a banquet hall for 11 yrs. and there were a lot of women wearing black. one thing you shouldn't do is to wear something that is too sexy because you don't want to steal the bride's thunder. attention should focus on her.

You can wear whatver you want, usually i just pick something to wear that's in the color scheme of the wedding, but you will look fine in black dress, just wear jewelry, nice shoes. As long as its not a long black suit type you should be good.

Yes. Why not? I have seen many women wear black dresses to a wedding. I would question a black veil ... but hey, it's a free country. Do what you gotta do!

I went to a wedding and I wore a black dress. It did have pink flowers on it though. I think it's okay to wear a black dress- it's your choice. They can't MAKE you wear another color. Personally, I love the color black and I'd wear it anywhere, so I think you'll be okay.

i think as long as it doesnt look like a funeral dress that pretty much anything goes for a wedding. as long as you STAY AWAY FROM THE WHITE!!!! i just got married and that was my only rule. only me and my mom wore white. also you wont have to worry about clashing with the colors cuz black goes with everything. most everyone is going to be watching the bridal party so i say go for it!!!!
