Can you dye a under basket on a stroller and it hold the dye?

can you dye the material stroller covers are made out of?
well it's not the cover it's actually the under basket part that needs to be dyed. i am not sure but the tag says it made out of 90% polyster fiber. can you dye this and it hold the dye or will it wash out?

I think it would slide right off, but you could try fabric paint.
