yes i think we all have had few cars that have did this before,all you can do is keep them and fix everything at one time or keep letting them do this,there usually pretty good cars too,they have so many small things that go wrong with them that it takes every dime you get saved up.trade it off,that's one way to end it,good luck with it.

Yup. I had a 1995 Ford Windstar GL that was NOTHING but trouble. Heck, the head gaskets blew on it and I couldn't get it fixed for four months because I couldn't afford the bill, and then once I got it fixed I got a RECALL NOTICE on the dumb thing for -- guess what? -- head gaskets. It took me almost a year of writing to Ford and arguing with their customer service reps to get a partial reimbursement for that. Most of the stuff that went wrong was covered under warranty, but I had a host of problems after the warranty expired. That thing had more problems than all the other cars I have ever owned combined. My wife was starting to have the ongoing problems with her 1998 Intrepid, so we cut that off and got her a new car before we sunk a ton of money into it.

yes and got ride of it a 1986 Renault Alliance nothing but trouble

i take it you mean smashed as in not having a penny hun yep, i havent a cent to me call, theres continually somebody searching for funds off me i dont like my postman to any extent further, ive instructed him particularly some cases i dont stay right here anymore, he keeps posting charges
