Information? I'm white (European actually, but that's beside the point).

I dated a white girl for 14 months. I am now dating a black girl, and am way more happy with her than I was with the white girl. She's met my parents, I've met hers. Not weird at all. I don't even think about the color of her skin. I don't see any problems occurring as of yet. If we break up, I doubt it will have anything to do with color.

I don't know what else to contribute to you ... can't think of anything. Maybe because it feels like it's completely normal? If you have any questions feel free to email me.

I am the mother of six adult children, all interracial, adopted from birth. In our family and within those of our friends and others, there is no diversity. The world should be interacial. Everybody should live amongst other races, other religions, diversity etc. If this was so, and everyone lived this way with love, non-judgement, acceptance and understanding, this world would be a much happier place. There are no interracial problems, where there is no judgement and lots of love.

Up until a few years ago, interracial marriage was shunned by society due to narrow mindedness and fear. Socially, it was unacceptable to even have a friend of different color or culture. There were families that were either white or black and neither could accept the other. Now that there is opportunity to become understanding about individual preferences, customs, and cultures, we are getting a chance to get to know each other. There are and will be many social differences to overcome with an interracial couple, but it does happen that there are many happy social acceptances that are beginning to overcome what was once a stigma.

The only comment I would have is the word, popularity. It is growing more common because the races intermingle more today, but people would seldom chose to get into a relationship fraught with so many obstacles. The same with homosexuals, they do not choose to become homosexuals, it not more popular, it just happens and today more people accept others they way they are.
