With all the drama in the NFL.. What makes you really think hard about what athletes you support and don't support?

What would bother you worse...

Drug Policy Violation for steroids, or marijuana?

Arrested for DWI, or possesion of marijuana?

Arrested for multiple weapons charges, or dog-fighting?

And last.. have any of you stopped rooting for a favorite player because of an off-field incident?

All of the above !

Plus not recognizing that his success is due a great deal
to his teammates---as in the case of a great quarterback
being protected by the Offensive Line! and---

the contribution of his parents and teachers who guided
and helped him in his early and formative years !
And let'sot forget his High School coaches !

And if he doesn't appreciate his good fortune in being
blessed by a Higher Being with the body/mind needed
for this profession ---!

And keeping his off field life a model for the young kids
boys and girls ----someone to look up to who doesn't
kill other little children 1

A tall order and lots of requirements---

but guys like Roger Staubach and Joe Montana and
many others did it !

And most of the players today are not having any
trouble this way !

Drug Policy Violation for steroids, or marijuana? Steroids, marijuana's not too big of a deal in my opinion, steroids meant they cheated.

Arrested for DWI, or possesion of marijuana? Arrested for DWI. Again, I don't have much of a problem with Marijuana, now being in a car while influenced by a drug or alcohol means they were endangering others, and themselves, that's bad.

Arrested for multiple weapons charges, or dog-fighting? Dog-fighting. Dog-fighting would mean they enjoy two dogs that have no choice other than to rip each other apart. Although both of these would bother me.

I think the absolute worst would a cross-dressing NFL athlete. Yikes! (lol)

I think all of your listed offenses would make me raise my eyebrows a bit and wonder what's what....the dog fighting was really bad, but so is DUI and weapons. They are all bad for their own reasons.

Yes...I am a huge Buckeye fan and I am glad to see all the players do well on the next level but I had to cut Santiono Holmes out of my vocabulary (he now plays for the Steelers). He has records for domestic violence and that is totally unacceptable.

If he was an honest, hard working player on a team like the Patriots coached by an egomaniac who felt the need to cheat to ensure superior advantage -- that is what would bother me the most.

Arrested for DWI because back in high school I lost a close friend to a drunk driver. We were JR's, I have no doubt I would have married that girl.

Yes, I hold my players to high conduct or I drop them. I don't want them influencing kids. I do believe in gun rights though. Steroids are much worse than pot. Dog fighting and steroids are the worst. DUI laws are a little too strict now. A few beers and you get arrested. Of course if you are drunk and are speeding and causing wrecks and stuff, that's different.
