My ap physics class is crazy hard so please help me with this problem!

In a physics lab, a 5.0 kg cart is accelerated across a table by means of a .50 kg hanging mass which is allowed to fall and drag the cart by means of a string and pulley. If the cart moves 1.2 m from rest in 2.0 s, what is the force of friction between the cart and table? what is the tension on the string while the cart is accelerating?

I will assume negligible friction for air and the pulley

The FBD of the hanging mass is
.5*9.81-T=.5*a

The one on the table is
T-f=5*a

compute a
1.2=.5*a*4
a=0.6
solve for f and T

T-f=3
.5*9.81-0.3=T
T=4.605 N
f=1.605 N
