What are my options ? Can banks do this ? They say they are doing it for security reasons, but if that is the real concern why cant they simply close it and deposit the proceeds into my checking account ?

The banks have strict rules about this kind of issue, but sometimes branch offices may be able to stretch the rules. If you were a "known" customer at the branch office, see if they will accept a notarized letter asking to close the CD.

Can't guarantee it, but it might work.

I could supply you a great kudos for being so damn sturdy and resilient. i'd have hung myself after listening to in basic terms a variety of lame examples of what you will call "track". Rap , Hip Hop, despite you call it purely sux,,,era None of this would ever be seen track as long as one purely rips off the different that's all this form is approximately.

You are either going to have to go there or hire a lawyer to go on your behalf.
