I am still wondering if I should be worried about my leg. It is now seven weeks since I tore the muscle on a trip to France.
I have only seen a physiotherapist is the UK who got my foot back on the ground after 4 weeks. I still suffer with swelling which I can get rid of by elevating. But now I keep getting very painfull spasms. I told my physiotherapist who has now advised me to wear something tight on my leg. My leg was also cold and a different colour but she could feel a pulse. She has also given me a stick to try and get me to stop limping. I cannot drive due to the weakness in my left leg and it was too painful for my muscle. Is this normal in week 7?

You may have torn a muscle from its tendon, and that would need an orthopedic doctor to check it out. Since you are symptomatic at 7 weeks, you really need to see a specialist about your leg. I would not wait if I were you. The use of your leg is too important to wait.
Good luck.

I would ask for referral to a specialist. Since overall heath, medications and illness can affect how quickly one heals its impossible to determine from one person to the next what is normal in week 7. The fact that there is color changes, weakness, swelling and temp changes in the leg would prompt to me ask for a specialist. I know in the UK you have different rules then I do here, so if the physiotherapist won't referr you, try asking your GP
