unless you were getting the autograph from the actual celebrity, i think it's kind of silly to pay for one. what if someone just got a stock photo and a sharpie and started signing away and selling them on ebay? i think it's probably a better idea to actually meet the celebrity and get the autograph than to pay for one.

but i wouldn't mind having tom hanks signature...

I would never pay for a autograph by a celebrity, never. I have received many but none have I ever payed for nor will.

i won't stand caught-up celebrities! Cameron Diaz need no longer worry, if I ever observed her i does not ask for an autograph in any case. Cyndi Lauper is magnificent along with her followers and large approximately giving autographs, and shooting. She took a percentwith my husband and me as quickly as we had in the back of the curtain passes, and he or she took 2 photos with me final June as quickly as I observed her on Broadway interior the Threepenny Opera.

Personally, I wouldn't pay for anyone's autograph unless I physically saw them sign it with my own eyes. Otherwise how do you know its not a fake?

that depends on the condition of the autograph and what it is on (photo, book, cd, record, tape, poster, t-shirt, etc...) but I think I'd pay more for those that have passed on, (buster keaton, harold lloyd, laurel & hardy, charlie chaplin & abbott & costello) and a little more if the person it was made out to had the same name as me, so if no one knew better, it would seems like i got it when they were still alive.
