I have already asked Conservatives to describe what they think about Liberals. Now I want to hear what they have to say about the Conservative point of view.

The best answer will be decided by the one that most adequately explains their answer. Not if I agree or not.

Please no links to websites. I want to know what YOU think. Not what someone would have you regurgitate.

You know what's funny? When I asked for an interpretation of the "Liberal Agenda", I got 20 answers in 15 min. Most of the answers here are from Liberals, not Conservatives.

Interesting...

My opinion of what a "Conservative" point of view.
1. Low taxes, and low spending. Provide only those services ABSOLUTELY necessary for our people.
2. Less power given to the Federal Government, more given to state and local govt.
3. Strict interpretation of the Constitution. What is WRITTEN in the Constitution IS the law. IT does not mean one thing today, and something different tomorrow.
4.Protection of the unborn.
5. Allow the people of the country to succeed or fail on their own.

Conservative believe the government should stay out of most things, i.e. small government. They also see that everything the government touches turns into a huge problem i.e. healthcare, social security, public schools, welfare, and commerce regulation. These things today are worse off than before the elites started telling us what to do with our money, i e. social security. Our public schools are sorry and rate poorly compared to private schools. Liberals oppose school vouchers to help kids who care get a good education. Welfare has made slaves of many people be making them dependent on a check from working Americans. Also cons believe people should be allowed to keep more of the money they earn, this is good for economics and is the right thing to do anyways. I could keep going but I got to go get pictures of my dog on point. See ya.

It's based on fear and loathing.

Whether it's fear and loathing of the government, the poor, Muslims, the GLBT community, etc., that's what it is in a short and sweet definition.

The haunting fear that someone, somewhere might be happy coupled with the fanatical need to snuff out that happiness. All done while claiming to be the victim.
