Well there are the basic techniques... blow and suck.

First turn the laptop over and do some gentle shaking...

then try the blow:

A can of air can blow out between the spaces or if you have access to compressed air that has been de-humidified use that (regular compressed air - like at the gas station contains high levels of water which is not that great for the laptop).

Ok. then move on to suck...

Get a vacume and neck down the hose to a pencil sized tube (you can do this with your basic duct tape and a sturdy straw.

Fire it up and go at it...

This should get a lot of it.. but repeat the process since removing one large chunk will often allow another to be shaken, blown, or sucked out too.

If you use your laptop a lot in the same place consider a docking station and a wireless keyboard.. thats what I use and it sure makes clean up easier..

Go to Target or Office depot and ask for a Canned Air sprayer. Its a high pressured can of air that is used to blow away things from between keyboard keys and stuff like that. Its very useful. :)

I'm going to tell you a secret, but you have to promise not to use your laptop as a dinner table anymore. MMMKAY? Take your vacuum..............No that wont work. Go to Walmart, Best Buy, etc. Get your self a can of dust off. Read the label and use according to the directions. Oh yea, while your at walmart buy some tv trays or a dinner table :)

the best thing to do is to flip it over, and spray it with something like dust off. Then gently tap the laptop untill most of the crap falls out. then take a Q-tip and go all along the sides of the keys.

You can use a compress air to blow it out but make sure you get a dry clean air, or you can buy aerosol can in the store and blow it out. You can also take the keyboard out and use paint brush...

Buy a can of air and blow it out. There's also a way to remove keyboards if you're confident that you won't break it.

turn it upside down and shake it.
take a vacuum cleaner and suck the crumbs out.
if all else fails, remove the keys, a few at a time, so you remember where they go, and then blow the crumbs away!

Good luck.
