Is the book 100% completely real? Are some events in the book based on real events? Is the book all made up?

It's not very "real" at all. It's a highly christianized much later version of Arthurian tales originating in the Mabinogion (some of the oldest surviving Welsh tales.) Although there appears to have been a historical Arthur, he would have lived LONG before metal armor was even invented. Note that the original "grail" was a severed head, bathed in blood & carried on a platter (see "Peredur," in the Mabinogion.)

it's a mix of myth, legend and a tiny amount rooted in history.

Arthur's conquest of Rome is based upon Constantine's; a Roman general who kicked off his conquest of the empire from Britain. Deeds by various kings/leaders were gradually attrriburted to Arthur.

The Tristram/Tristan stories are apparently based upon an actual prince (Pictish or Scots-Gael, I forget), but the legend evolved as it migrated south.

It is definitely at least 99.9 percent fiction.
