A really OLD movie with Boris Karloff and Ellen Drew called "Island of the Dead" in which people are being entombed alive on a Greek Island. Karloff plays a Greek general and not a monster. A "dead" woman screamingly claws her way out of her wooden coffin and runs around with a knife. I saw it when I was only about 7 years old and have never forgotten over it. It may be available on the Internet.

Try a movie called "Carrie". It is about 20 years old, but oh so cool and scary too, especially then end of it. I heard the entire theatre scream at the very end of the movie. Another good classic that will give you nightmares is Zombie. It has an eyeball scene that you just have to see and then you will never forget it. Whew.

The original 70's movie..."When A Stranger Calls". It was just too reality for me and I was a single mom and when I came home at night it freaked me out to think someone could be in my house, hiding and call me on the phone from inside my house, was too scary for me. I was tripped out over that movie for a VERY long time. Before that was Psycho, in the early 60's. I was 11 when I first saw it and yep it freaked me out for years. I believe I was in my 40's before the shower scene completely left me and I'm 55 now, so you just never know how something will affect you, I guess.

The sixth sense was the best in my opinion. It didn't strive for affects, it was just believably scary! As for the grudge kid next time you see him - punch him! No seriously it's more scary to think of the spirits that are really around you RIGHT NOW, than your imagination's tricks. Ghosts really exist and if you have past family you have some TRUST ME. Wait a minute did you hear that...behind you!

Well, I love horror movies. I don't really ever get scared by them, I mean I jump sometimes, but I don't get nightmares. Probably The Exorcist. When the girl is walking down the stairs backwards, that's some scary crap.
