I am a fan of an actor on a CBS show who I think would be fabulous on ABC’s dancing with the stars is that even a possibility

I would say it depends on the contract. Some actors are contracted to a show only and are not stopped from appearing in films or other shows as long as the fulfill the obligations of their contracts.

So it is possible - email the Dancing Show and ask them.

It all depends on the actor's contracts. If he's only been in one episode of a series in a non-recurring role, he can probably do that. Being in a series is a lot of work, and the actor would not have time to be in two at the same time.

Well, Tucker Carlson was an MSNBC news anchor. If they can get approval and have the time, I wouldn't see why not.

I don't believe it's poosible because they are contractually obligated to appear on the network where their show airs.
