So many people seem to think their self worth is way too low or too high. Do you think you see yourself realistically?

I think I have a realistic opinion of myself. I know my strengths and weaknesses, my faults and good characteristics. But what I feel is more important than my opinion of myself, is the fact that I like myself. I like being me, and I enjoy my own company. Now there's a question, how many people can actually say that they like themselves?

Only once we calibrate this factor in: 'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct.' (Jeremiah 17:9-10)

Only God has a realistic opinion of us and we do well to consult him on our true nature. But be warned, he tells us that we are sinners who need to humble ourselves before he will raise us up as precious and honored in his sight!
