This greatly depends on many factors like:

location
languages
skill
company size

For example, if I was a web developer in the suburbs of Pittsburgh (where I grew up), the range appears to be $47K - $89K. The same type of work where I live in MD would be $49K-$92K.

I'm a bit above the range though doing server side Java development on a variety of operating systems. I know co-workers that are more senior by a few years making 6 figure salaries.

After you have a couple of years of experience under your belt, you can easily earn $80-$90k per year. Some earn more, some earn less. But that is about average.

A lot does depend on where you are located, what company you work for, and what the specific job is you are doing.

it depends on the program they are doing.

high pays are those who do desktop application or platform development

while web developer like me get a little lower but the development are just short. unlike platform developers

here in the Philippines im making USD1000 / month (regular work) and some freelance work.

The average per hour for a good programmer nowadays for a good company is about $13-$19 an hour in California. What that is a year I dunno..
