You cancelled the check,Good, now right them certified why,but first take it in somewhere else and see whats wrong and what exactly did they do,get an estimate from them to fix it,send all this info certified.Ist off it shouldn't have cost no more than 12000 for a new trans not rebuilt.you see sometimes they fix one thing and break something else o get you to come back.just agreeing to the high price showed them you had no clue.as they say .....They seen you commin!,It's a good possibility that they thew in a rebuilt trans. Also Call an attorney,it might cost you about 100 to have them send something legal ,but it will scare the pants off of them.don't take it back to them.Have you ever heard of a person complaining about their food and sending it back to get made right and the cook gives it some extra spice? or you coffee gets spit in,same thing..........Best of luck but do this quick always be one step ahead....Mia

depends on how you bought it, if used with no warranty most states are "as is" upon sale, unless you have a title issue like not fully filled out title transfer you are basicly stuck if bought from a private seller. you could cancel the check and take it to a civil court. If this is a dealer then you can contact the bbb and maybe a few other local chapters that do fraud investigation.

Call the local Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. Also call the repair place and give them the chance to make it right for free. Also see if your state attorney general has a consumer protection division, and if so, register a complaint there as well if the repair place won't fix it.

If you have a receipt take it back. If they don't want to fix it, you can contact the Better Business Bureau. If it's not too late, cancel the check just in case.

First, you should have taken it to a dealer, so that if the fix was bad, they are much more likely to fix it. I owuld call th emanager of the shop where you took it & tell him what happened & tell him you will put a hold on the check until he fixes it correctly for no additional money.
