My husbands claims to be a sleep walker who eats in his sleep. He gets up in the middle of the night and scarfs down every snack in the house. Now if he just ate one or a little, that's one thing, but i might make brownies and have one piece out of it and gets up and scarfs the rest down. A box of little debbie snacks will go in one night too. I have to literally hide snacks and stuff where he can't find it at night so he won't eat it all up.
I kind of believe him cause he'll do weird things like crack open an egg on a plate and put it in the fridge and weird things like that.

I need advice, so I can keep food around. How do i make him stop eating everything in the house in the middle of the night?

I would try and talk to his Dr. and maybe he can steer you in the right direction. It is a medical condition that can be dangerous.Someone I know sleepwalks but instead of eating they walk out side,I get scared thinking they one night may get hit by a car or some thing. It could be something relating back to his childhood,as if he was at time denied food or sweets.Good luck to you both& GOD Bless.

you have easily unfold out extremely a can of worms here - and the worms are eating the deliver! the only desire I see in any respect - and that's slender - is counseling. First, for you on my own to handle the form you began all this with your demands and deceptions. Then upload your husband into the counseling. i actually do no longer se a fortunately ever after ending here - you have the two particularly lots broken all of the vows. The time for counseling could have been once you first had the delivery administration themes. Now you're so a ways aside - and you have a historical past of deception on the same time as he has a historical past of slicing his losses & leaving whilst he would not locate perfection. upload in the different women human beings.... and it only would not look promising, particularly with your question, what if i do no longer want to have intercourse with him returned interior the destiny? If that's what you're questioning, WHY are you even attempting to stay mutually??

Compulsive eating is a disorder. How long has this been going on, was he like this when you met him, or is this sort of a new thing? If he does it in his sleep or not is not so much the issue, if you can place a date to when it started, start going through all the things that happened around that date, maybe a loss or a sudden change he hasn't been able to adapt to. Compulsive eating is a symptom of depression, I would keep a close eye on that, and maybe get him to therapy, if he is ok with it.

Sounds like he may have a sleep disorder. There are people like that and they have no recollection of what they did (some even have sex) and not remember. There are some medications that also have that side effect. I suggest a sleep study (they wire you up and you stay overnight) where they monitor the brain waves. You need to find out for sure - it may save his life.

I have seen this sleep disorder on television. Really bizarre, one man used to sleep walk and mow the lawn naked, another would sleep walk and eat everything in the fridge and wake up wondering how his kitchen got so messy. Anyhow, this is a true phenomenon.

You need to take him to a doctor, what if he gets in the car and starts driving. People have been known to do very dangerous things during sleep walking.

I don't know, but if your husband is that active in his sleep he needs to be more constructive. Like vaccumming or doing some laundry or cleaning of some sort.

JK, actually he needs to see a doctor. Before he hurts himself or someone else.

He needs to see a doctor.....Don't think he uses this as an excuse to eat everything in sight...he is a grown man and doesn't have to find excuses to eat if that is what he wants to do.
