Two versions of the same song:
"Help!" - Jaded Heart - They slowed the song down to a crawl and created a massive string arrangement underneath with a slow, powerful vocal. I actually like this version better than the orignal because the music and tone fits the lyrics better.
and
"Help!" - Johnny Lima - Just the opposite, it's sped up to mach 5 and turned into a punked out version of the song.... just a fun listen.
One more, Aerosmith's cover of "I'm Down". It's a straight up, by the numbers cover, but it's a little faster and heavier with more of a "boogie" flavor to it.
NP: "Mainline" - Kiss

Hi there,
I really like Aerosmith's cover of "Come Together". A generation younger than 'The Fab Four' recreated a true masterpiece. I myself love Otis Redding's cover of Day Tripper as well :).

Beyond being my favorite Beatles cover, I think it's my favorite cover I've ever heard
Stevie Wonder - We Can Work It Out
honorable mention
Sonic Youth - Within You, Without You
I'm not sure where it was released, I found it back in the Napster days, but it's a really interesting take on it. Lee Renaldo sings it.
