What level do you have to be in order to get master mining?

Also, what's the minimum mining level you have to be at?

Thanks. I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to find anything on this.

Sorry Thomas S but you are completely wrong.

To train master mining and increase your maximum mining skill to 375 you have to:

1. Be level 50
2. Have level 275 mining

Once those two requirements are met you need to go to a Grand Master mining trainer.

The Horde trainer is called Krugosh and is located in Thrallmar.
The Alliance trainer is called Hurnak Grimmord and is located in Honor Hold.

Hmm, If I remember correctly master minning kicks in around 225, with an absolute requiement that you get it by 250. (I might be confused and be giving you artisen skills levels though.) I don't think you need a quest or a book to get to Master level, but I could also be wrong.

There is not specific chracter level requirment for the skill though, but generally speaking your character level better be high enough to survive where you need to mine.

To find out exactly, try putting in World of Warcaft and Wiki into google and heading to a fan wiki. Also try http://www.thottbot.com
