Pete Carrol may possibly be the next San Diego Chargers head coach. Do you think he can cut it in the NFL this time around?

He's in a perfect situation right now, and I hope he doesn't change positions.

Could he improve the situation in Charger-land...yes, I suppose he could. Turner, to me, has always been a great coordinator, not a head guy. This being said, Carrol has had a previous NFL shot where things didn't go quite so well. Mind you, Shanahan and Belicheck have proven that things can change on the second time around...and Wade Phillips (who I figured to be a dud like Turner) may prove the fourth time works as well...but that is still very rare.

Possibly so, heck with Heisman after Heisman and Championships, it would be a great opportunity for him. Some ppl really wanted to see if he could do it after Palmer, Leinert and Bush were gone. He has another awesome team now. Makes you wonder why USC is so good now when just a few years ago the were on the bottom of college football.
I know some teams are just that good year after year. But I can remember this type of domination in a while.

San Diego should have never fired Marty. He gives you a couple of good years and they yank him?! The best they could do was Norv turner ! He's had some respect in the assist coach or coordinator role but as a head? No class in the front office. May the chargers have a very bad year and Tomlinson demand a trade. Every team would trade for him!

No, he couldn't cut it in New England and he can't cut it with San Diego. He should stay in college and keep winning with the trojans. Think about Nick Saban, he's a great college football coach but he did horrible with the dolphins when he switched to the NFL.

After the fiasco with Spurrier and Saban then with his own shortcomings as a professional coach I don't see Carroll going anywhere but you never know with his ego.

Did that rumor happen to start on PTI last night? It is not happening. Plus why would he want to coach a bunch of cry babies. Oh yeah and the REAL L.T. has his bust sitting in Canton. Here is a tissue Ladanian.
