I have always been a night person.
I come alive about 9:30 every night.
My husband is a morning person.
We are both retired and need a little space, so it works out well.
I stay up reading and before yahoo answers, I use to write.
I enjoy the time I have to myself after my husband goes to bed (11:00 PM).
He is up at 6:00 AM and I sleep till noon and take a nap around 5:00 PM.
We have a monitor in the bed room, so as I type this, I'm listening to him snore. I might add that he snores very loud. Occasional I record his snore when it get really loud and we have a good laugh about it.
I do love my time alone late at night.
No interruptions. No phone calls. It's rather nice.
I do need my coffee in order to wake up.
Thanks for the question.

Pretty much a morning person. Like you, I am good until the afternoon (usually 2:30 for me though) and ready to sleep around 9:30 or 10:00.

Absolutely a morning person.
Up at 5 am and skip (figuratively) into the kitchen to get the coffee going. That first sip is the best thing of the day (well, almost). By mid afternoon I'm ready to sit back and relax.
I usually fall asleep around 9 unless there's a really, really good movie on (that started at 8 so I'm into it).

What are mornings? I usually get up around 8 or 9, but I don't get going until around 11 or 12. Bedtime is around midnight. I do much better in the afternoons and evenings. In the morning I'm not a very happy person to be around.

I 'm finding that lately my sleeping pattern is changing. I used to be in bed by 10.30, an up at 6. But no nap during the day.
Now I stay up later, and wake up earlier. But I too, at about 2PM, need to have a little nap. My slump sets in then. And the blood sugar levels are low.-
But I am the a happy person in the morning, I am not grumpy even before my morning green tea. The only time I really get bad is when I have had way too little sleep, and then I am hopeless.

I think it has to do with circadian rhythms. I was born at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Even as a child I had difficulty getting up in the mornings. As a young adult, I had to rush for work because on occasion I couldn't hear the alarm clock.
When I was 35, I got a job working nights (for a morning newspaper) and felt as if I'd come home. I didn't even need an alarm anymore. I'd wake up at noon and be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed throughout the evening, until 1 a.m. when I got off work. Taking the time to unwind, bedtime was 4 a.m.
Still is.

Night. I rarely get to sleep before 12:30 am. Too much to do. I actually make myself hit the sack before 1:00 am because I have to be up by 9:00 am most mornings.

For so much of my life while I was trampin', I was a night person. Now that I've been trying for quite a few years to be a day person, it is still incredibly hard to go to sleep early. I've finally found somewhat of a compromise. I go to bed about 1:00 a.m. and get up about 6:00a.m. I usually wake up by 9:00 a.m.
