Who are they gonna play against? I'd rather see them win a pennant than the Cubs.

Ah, get over it. t is not racist to be called the Indians, any more than Notre Dame are the Irish.
I went to Shawnee High School in Lima. That is out on a former Shawnee Reservation. We were, "home of the Indians". Some of my more clever classmates stitched the Cleveland Indian logo onto their letter jackets.
Nearby Wapakoneta was, I think, the Redskins.

Look, if they call themselves Indians, it means they are proud to be called Indians. I would be.
How about if they called themselves "Sheridans", or "Custers"?

I agree. Not that it'd be painful to see the Cubs do it... just not against Cleveland.
When talking baseball - both teams have had long droughts. Cubs about 40 years longer... BUT... c'mon. Chicago just had the White Sox win it all a few years ago. The Bulls were a dynasty not that long ago. Cleveland has not won the big prize in ANY sport since the 1948 Indians. With that said - I hope us Cleveland fans finally get to see SOMETHING!
So - I'd LOVE to see the Cubbies make it to the WS, give the fans an NL Championship flag to raise... but I don't want to see them win it all if it's against Cleveland.

The way you can live in Toledo and not love the Tigers is to realize that you pay taxes in the state of Ohio and not Michigan. Ohio is your home state, regardless of how close you may be to Michigan. DUH. In answer to the question, yes, it would be absolutely awesome if the Indians win in the playoffs and advance to the series. And why does one poster here have a Wahoo logo but is not cheering on for the Indians? Who cares about the Indians and Cubs meeting in the WS? If you are an Indians fan, you will want the Indians to win, period, no matter who they play. Yea - I might feel sorry for the lovable losing Cubbies but I would still seriously want MY Cleveland Indians, MY team, MY hometown heroes, to stomp them all over Jacobs Field AND Wrigley. My sympathy would END at first pitch. GO CLEVELAND INDIANS.

I'd love to see an Indians/Cubs World Series, but I don't think the Indians are going to get by the Yankees, unless some freak of nature like a swarm of locusts decend upon Jacobs Field during the game. Regardless, whoever wins the Cleveland/New York Series I think wins the World Series (over the D'Backs...which means the Cubbies aren't going to make it either).

I hope but it's a tough road, 1st the Yankees, then either Boston or LAA.
I want the Cubs and Indians go far, but I like both teams so I don't want to see them play each other.

They have already beat the Yankees and the Cubs are out of it. They will probably have to play the Rockies if they get to the WS.

No.
I always root against the Indians, Braves, Redskins, and every other team with racist mascots.
Well, you did ask.
