You should have got her a years supply of washing-up liquid instead!

That depends on the person. If your wife is crying then you may have made the wrong choice. Although it may not have been your intention, your gifts may have given your wife the impression that she isn't doing a good job keeping the house clean. On the other hand, she could have totally loved the gifts and is crying because she is happy. The only real way to find out her feelings on her gift would be to ask her.

You made the wrong choice big time. Those are things that are for housework not something special for her. I know my husband would love tools for his birthday. But that is wrong in so many levels to give your wife a feather duster your lucky she did not hit you over the head with it. tell her it was a gage gift and that the gift you gave her is on its way. you need to give her jewelry, flowers and dinner and a new outfit go all out on her. you might want to clean the house with the first gifts you gave her to. Good Luck and next time dont buy cleaning products for your wife on her birthday. Thats like her getting you something that you didnt want on your birthday like the same thing you got her. To me it is sending the message you need to clean more and who cares its your b-day. Good Luck DMcNemar

She didn't want the hoover ya dumbass, she wanted a Dyson, geez, don't you know anything? And feather dusters are out, you should have bought her a swiffer duster, the wood polish is fine though.
GOOD LUCK!

Maybe it won't be a bad choice if you are going to operate her new Hoover at least once weekly in the nude. And, in between using the vacuum, you can dust. Tell her you bought it for her as a gag gift, because those are chores YOU are going to do. Now, take her out to eat. Buy her some flowers!

Yes , you made the wrong choice . A birthday gift should be more personal like a necklace , rind with her birth stone , a bracelet. You only sent her a message to clean the place up. I hope you use the gifts you bought her to make amends. Remember it's not too late to do the right thing.

Unless she asks for those cleaning supplies, DO NOT GET THEM FOR HER AS A GIFT. A gift should show how much you love her and care about her. Giving her cleaning supplies just says, this is what I think you need most so you can clean the house for me. A better gift would have been to clean the entire house for her and a home cooked meal she doesn't have to cook. (And jewlery is always a bonus)

Oh my God, is this question even for real?
If it is, I'd cry too. A feather duster? Are you kidding me?

you are way wrong those are cleaning products, what are you telling her that the house needs to cleaned? if so go job. but for her birthday I would think she might like nice romantic evening out with her man.some thing that makes her feel special and good about her self. not about the house cleaning.
