Yeah, I feel sorry for the people who aren't Cubs fans and live in Chicago. The Cubs have as good a chance this season to win it all finally as they ever have but I could also see them losing in the first round.

Part of the Cubs fan culture is to complain about their team and the goat or fan that ruined their season so if they actually won, I don't know what they would do.

It is better to have hope then dispair. If I were a Cubs fan I would have nothing but hope at this point, the playoffs are totally different animal and the Cubs have a pretty good chance of at least making it through one round...possibly even to the Series and once there ALL bets are off. Sit back and enjoy the ride...it could be short or it could be a long ride!

Sure it is going to be a hard road for the Cubs but their fans should be elated they are in the playoffs. Pull for your team and hope for the best. This is a very positive up season for the Cubs, they have a good core group of players, and it looks like they will have a good team in the years to come.

You may well be right. On the other hand, two of the longest World Series droughts have come to an end in recent years - Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox.

If I were putting down money right now it would be on Philly or Colorado as they both are heading into the playoffs red hot. The American League teams all have better records, but they have more or less been cruising for a while. Right now I'm going to say Philly/Boston in the World Series.

properly captain, as a White Sox fan i might would desire to declare that this year is our terrific probability for a subway sequence. i'm drained approximately listening to how large the pink Sox are, and that the 0-7 Tigers are the terrific group in baseball. The Tigers would desire to be the terrific group on paper, yet curiously no longer the terrific group on grass and airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust.

If they don't screw up, (like they did with the Padres in 1984) I think they've earned a shot at it. Their fans will love them even if they don't make it this year.
Would be great if they do. Go Cubs!
