Get your car a coolant system pressure check. Most likely the heater core is leaking. They dont cost much. Purchase a new heater core and have it installed.
Your in no real big hurry. Your doing the right thing to replinish the water. Your stang will be fine. But winter is coming. And too much, or all water in your coolant system can freeze.

Well the leak inside the car is more than likely the heater core.
The leak under the radiator is probably a pin hole in the bottom of the radiator.
There are little rubber bumpers that the radiator sits on - pretty common for the stangs to fall out, and that section of the core support is prone to rusting through

It sounds as if your heater core is leaking but it's located on the drivers side.
Have your cooling system pressure checked by any independent mechanic. Any external leaks will show up in seconds. This test is relatively inexpensive. You need to get it fixed before cold weather sets in. You can't continue to add water only to your cooling system as the water in the radiator and block will freeze and pop a freeze plug or split the block wide open.

Your heater core is leaking. Get it replaced. For a quick fix, add some coolant sealer into the radiator. Good luck

your car will not overheat if the loss is not big enough and you are replenishing the lost water.
Now, water leaks increases with the heat and tend to get bigger over time, therefore, it is a good idea to locate and fix the water leak before your car looses enough water to overheat.
Once your car overheats you will have to fix the cooling system but the engine damage as well.

It really sounds like the heater core which is typically located on the passenger side under the dashboard. It could be as simple as one of the feeder hoses OR it could be the core itself. You can do the work but it is fairly tight in there and often it is best to have it done by a mechanic.... but it isn't cheap.
Good luck.

Your car needs a good Cooling system check /... rebuild? From hoses, check (maybe replace) radiator, flush the system, perhaps a new heater core... Is possible that no maintenance has been done what so ever.

At a guess, I'd say that your heater core is leaking right at the firewall. It's not uncommon.
It's almost certainly located on the passenger side, so your getting leakage on the driver's side would seem strange.
But if the coolant is coming in on the pass. side, then making it's way to driver's side before becoming visible, that would explain it.

Your heater hose may be old, it connects to your heating system and uses the car's engine heat to warm up your car and if it leaks it could end up inside of the car. Good Luck!
