True -

I objected to my brother marrying his now ex-wife. No one would listen to me that she was a drug using whore she was cheating and so on .. I got told I was a jealous younger sister, it was his life, and I was cruel for making those things up ...

3 years later he found out she was using and sleeping with 4 different guys behind his back...

Who was right!? Never did I get an apology either ..

Wedding - the red flag and red carpet for marriage and commitment!

True, I object on a wedding if the man is not the right one!
False, if the candidate for wedding is the true love of my life!

Yet... the harsh fact in this world is that there are many marriages that even after 30 years they break down or is shaken by various circumstances that they ended up divorcing.

Yet... there are couples who hasn't even been married but stayed together longer than those married couples and their love have passed through the test of times.

As for me... I object on marrying someone whom you didn't know for at least 1 year or the whole seasons of the year.

Never be impulsive in marrying a man just because he goes to church or because he loves his mom or because he has no vice (he may be a cunning person who has plans only to look for a slave to serve him like a king, who happens to take a shower or take a bath once a week only and who happens to only love himself and a mommy's boy and never marry a liar or a man who puts his best forward to impress a lady of his good character!)

If I have to turn the clock back... I would never marry unless I am so sure he is the true love of my life whom I know so well and whom I can't live my life without.

I won't rush on such decision.

mmm if I would marry again which I doubt it will ever happen... he happens to be the one I love now but then he himself is "allergic" to talks of marriage or wedding.

Wedding is just a ceremony of that piece of paper (marriage-commitment) that claims a person his or hers. (usually misconstrued as this!)

In fact no one owns anyone!

The success in marriage depends on the two persons who have deep love and respect to each other and who would support each other in any trials in life, through ups and downs until death calls.

I have never object loudly to a wedding but I have heard people that have been engaged and all they do is fight and though they would never last. I guess thats why the divorce rates are so high though.

Not so much an objection, but at my sisters fourth wedding, I truly was tempted to shout out, "Should you REALLY be wearing white, dear?"
