At the time of purchasing parts :-
If I purchase MB first then will it fixed the type (DDR or DDR2)of RAM I buy next ?
or If I choose DDR2 Ram first then it will fixed my limit to choose MB?

Forget DDR, they are now expensive and just for old motherboards. All new motherboards use DDR2 RAM. And DDR2 is cheap

Most new boards only take DDR2 anyway, so your choice or error would be limited.
Depend on the board, some can go 4GB max and some can go 8GB or even 16GB for a home type of board.

The mother board is your first decission as it determines which cpu (proccessor socket) ,ram(freqency, type and quantity) , hard drive (type, size and quantity ) video card(pci, agp, pci-e = 1 or 2 slots for sli or cross fire),usb ports(version 1 or2 and quantity),1394 ports,lan ports, card reader capable ,sound versions etc... The mother board determines every thing you buy as its the"HOST" ,everything plugs into it
