I would say yes, coupled with "or turn it over......" [since some problems are not within our purview to solve]

And trying to teach exactly this to kids is maddening! Really.
I always told my daughters that if they tried to run from a problem it would only grow larger behind them. That the very best way to handle any problem is to face it head on and work at solving it. That anything we run from looks scary, but once turned towards and confronted we realise that it wasn't so bad to begin with.
So I guess Alan Saporta and I think alike.

Certainly to resolve/solve any problem is the logical answer, however, when you face such that you are unable to solve at the moment do not dwell upon it unnecessarily and shelve it, if possible, until you find a method/resource to solve it. Deal with things/life directly and keep it simple stupid as many tend to overly complicate and enhance the affects of a challenge rather than reduce the affect/situation.

Nice work if you can get it. There are some problems I'd dearly love to be able to solve, but I'm at a loss as to how.
Primary on my list is how to get my stepdaughter gainfully employed. She's college-educated and experienced and has been out of work 5 years now.

Well not even the brightest minds have been unable to solve our horrindous freeway congestion here, you can be stuck for hrs at times. It just keeps getting worse. We have had wars for as long as
I can remember. it would be wonderful if these problems could be solved.

That's the easy way. It's so much more fun to deny, procrastinate and then suffer gut-wrenching guilt over a problem you put off.
I'm there!

I totally agree!
Some may take longer then others to solve but when they are, what a good night's sleep you get.

Well, as the old saying goes, " If your not part of the solution, your part of the problem."

I find it best to delegate. Especially the hard ones.
