Mind and heart are the same. Perhaps you meant Intellect and heart? Intellect is totally objective and heart is subjective. And it is not as if we have to obey this or that. They are your faculties and are not independent of your personality to rule over you as such! You usually take credence of both faculties while taking decisions. But, of course there might be occasions when your decisions may appear either too emotional or too ruthlessly objective. While it is difficult to generalise- a mature person would always take both his intellectual as well as emotional side into account while taking decisions.

I always hear what my mind says. All my decisions are based on the mind. Even in the matters of heart, I consult and obey my mind.

I try to obey my mind most of the time. I am Capricorn, so I am very rational and less emotional. I am not impulsive when making a decision, but I am very practical, too. I am straight forward, I go forward to getting what I want and be done with it. I don't like to be hanging around, fooling around or postponing things that have to be done.

However, I suffer a lot when misjudged and misunderstood, and that's when I take it with my heart instead of with my mind. I feel hurt, I cry... it is not good.

hello anil

i try to balance them out, i can't be so cold and just obey my mind but i also can't be so fragile as to obey heart. the last time that i obey my mind and ignored my heart the results were painful and i regret it, now i take in consideration both it make things easier.... it also depends on the situation, we have to learn to use them both or use one a little more than the other to a certain extend.

all the best *=)

I always try to obey my conscience because it can never lead me astray. Both mind and heart are devilish and will always come up with contradictory and at times ill conceived options. But if you obey your pure conscience, it will always show you the right path and correct option.

Neither the mind is flickering like the wind and can drag us hither and dither. The heart is also conditioned by so many emotions and material sentiments. So we have to follow our higher intelligence which is higher than the mind. (or that may be what you mean by the heart) but remember our heart is covered by illusion so unless we follow higher intelligence given by the great saints, spiritual masters and scriptures, we can be misled in so many ways. Bhagavad Gita as it is by Bhaktivedanta Prahupada tells how to not be controlled by the mind and senses.

Hai anil m,

It depends.

If it's matters concerning business, finance, career, etc., usually(Not always) mind takes the priority.

If its concerning relationship(whether human, career, or whatever), heart takes priority.

Of course, usually the situations are a mix of both relationship and the business/finance/career. So depending on which is important in a particular situation, whether it is relationship or the other one, priority oscillates between mind & heart.

I think with my mind, I obey my heart and I follow my destiny.

Good to turn to look at both.
Mind is logical.. material aspect of life is better handled with good logic.
Heart is emotional , and as purity of emotions proportional to the heart to which it belongs. Relationships, emotions, are better handled, putting aside logic.
The skill lies in choosing what is appropriate to a situation, and then the capacity to consciously shut of the mind or logic as per the need of situation, not being driven by our own desires, greed, etc.

I don't always obey either, that is why I pray for myself daily so that I can become perfect at the end of this life.
